2 wins from 4 runs this year, latest at Doncaster in June. Had winning run ended in a more competitive environment at Royal Ascot last time, but not taken lightly now returned to calmer waters.

Lightly-raced winner who seemed unsuited by conditions when sixth of 7 in handicap at Hamilton (8.3f, good to firm) 14 days ago, rider glancing down from over 1f out. Worth another chance.

Forecasts

Zoffarelli (9/4), Siam Fox (9/4), Power of Darkness (5/1), You're Hired (11/2), Dark Company (15/2), River Dawn (8/1), De Vegas Kid (8/1), Lyndon B (28/1), Knight Salute (28/1)

Verdict

The vote goes to ZOFFARELLI, who shaped as if retaining all his ability on his recent return at Sandown and could easily have more to offer as a low-mileage 3-y-o. Siam Fox is much respected now returning to calmer waters, while Dark Company is perhaps worth one more chance having seemed unsuited by conditions at Hamilton 2 weeks ago.

  2. SIAM FOX (IRE)
  3. DARK COMPANY (IRE)
