18/1

Appealing pedigree but she made an unpromising start to career at Sandown (5f, 11/4) 14 days ago, having little idea. Ought to do better.

9/4

Foaled January 31. 420,000 gns yearling, Dubawi filly. Dam, classy 5f/6f winner (Temple Stakes and including at 2 yrs). Hooded and tongue tied. Big run could be on the way on debut.

Spiceline²³

Age: 2| Weight: 9-0| J: David Probert| T: A King

10/1

Bred to be sharp and speedy and showed ability amidst greenness on Kempton debut (6f, 40/1) 23 days ago. Should have more to offer in time.

Form: 6

(6)

Zain Claudette¹⁴

Age: 2| Weight: 9-0| J: Ray Dawson⁽³⁾| T: I Mohammed & J Santos

2/1

Promising start when second of 11 in maiden at Goodwood (6f, good to firm, 25/1) on debut 14 days ago. Should improve, though this looks a deeper contest.

Form: 2

Forecasts

Zain Claudette (2/1), Sacred Jewel (9/4), Red Joan (9/2), Spiceline (10/1), Annie's Song (11/1), Ebtsama (11/1), Dubai Jewel (18/1), Elsaab (66/1)

SACRED JEWEL heads a quartet of interesting newcomers and the choicely-bred filly could follow in the footsteps of her classy dam with a successful debut over 6f. The betting will be revealing, with Red Joan next on the shortlist for the Gosden team. Zain Claudette made a promising start at Goodwood a fortnight ago, though will probably need to improve to go one better in a deeper race now.
