Bumper/hurdles winner who wasn't beaten far when fourth on second chase start at Carlisle in October. Has failed to build on that since, though (faller on 2 of his last 3 starts in this sphere).

Returned to form when proving 2¼ lengths too strong for Dallas Cowboy over 19.2f here recently. Going back up in trip shouldn't be an issue, but 4 lb rise may be enough to anchor him this time.

Dual course winner who produced his best effort for a while when chasing home High Noon here 15 days ago. 3 lb better off with that rival now and will be dangerous if allowed a soft lead.

Mixed bag following breakthrough success here in October, but put in a decent shift in first-time cheekpieces (retained) when sixth of 13 over 25.5f at Cartmel on Saturday. Needs considering.

Finally got the job done under Rules when landing a C&D handicap chase last month, seeing things out better than is often the case. However, this 6 lb higher mark could be an issue.

Forecasts

Going Mobile (15/8), Top Beak (2/1), High Noon (7/2), Hurricane Vic (7/2), Just Call Me Al (4/1), Dallas Cowboy (8/1), Pakie's Dream (8/1)

Verdict

Preference is for GOING MOBILE, who probably did a bit too much too soon over 25.5f at Cartmel recently and will benefit from this drop back in trip. He is currently 3 lb below the mark off which he opened his account here during the autumn. Dallas Cowboy bounced back when second to High Noon at this course last month and may well reverse the placings this time.

  1. GOING MOBILE (IRE)
  2. DALLAS COWBOY (IRE)
  3. HIGH NOON (IRE)
