5/1, respectable fourth of 10 in handicap at Newbury (11f, good to soft) 19 days ago, finding less than looked likely. Up in trip and drying ground may aid his cause.

Lightly-raced maiden. 18/1, fifth of 6 in handicap at Newmarket (12f, soft) 11 days ago. Another who may benefit from the likely faster ground here and blinkers on 1st time.

Winner at Wetherby in April. 3/1, fourth of 5 in handicap at Wetherby (14f, heavy) 22 days ago. Conditions seemingly against him on that occasion and no surprise were he to bounce back here.

10/1
Thrice-raced maiden. Seventh of 8 in minor event (11/1) at Thirsk (12f, heavy) 18 days ago. Big step forward needed on this handicap debut and, in any case, Fandabidozi is clearly the stable No 1.

Forecasts

Oceanline (8/13), Norman Kindu (11/2), Fandabidozi (6/1), Doublethetrouble (10/1), Overthink (10/1)

Verdict

NORMAN KINDU failed to shine at Wetherby last month, but the testing conditions were probably to blame and he is given another chance to build on his breakthrough success at the same course 2 weeks earlier. Oceanline and Doublethetrouble may also appreciate tackling better ground than on their latest starts, but Fandabidozi is better than he showed last time at Chelmsford and is feared most.

  1. NORMAN KINDU
  2. FANDABIDOZI (IRE)
  3. OCEANLINE (IRE)
