Showcasing filly who ran well and found only a more experienced sort too strong on testing ground at Windsor (6f) 16 days ago. No reason why she won't improve with that under her belt.

Forecasts

Before Dawn (7/4), Sunstrike (5/2), Safra (3/1), Dubai Jewel (8/1), Golden Romance (10/1), Blaast (18/1), Wild Place (22/1), Ikkari (25/1), Annie's Song (28/1), Ardbraccan (33/1), Spiceline (40/1), Deevious Lady (50/1)

Verdict

Plenty of well-bred newcomers on show here but preference is for Charlie Appleby's BEFORE DAWN, who showed promise amidst greenness when runner-up at Newmarket on debut and she looks sure to build on that here. Blaast found only a more experienced sort too strong on testing ground at Windsor last month and she may have to settle for silver once again, ahead of Golden Romance and Safra.
