Whitlock²²

Age: 6| Weight: 11-13| J: N de Boinville| T: N J Henderson| OR: 101| D

15/8

Useful in his pomp on the Flat and put it all together to get off the mark over hurdles for present yard at Plumpton (15.9f) 3 weeks ago, winning readily. Looks the type to do better again. Player.

Form: 8010-1

Methusalar²¹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-12| J: Tom Cannon| T: A King| OR: 100

16/1

Showed ability on the first of 2 bumper starts in October. Limited impact in couple of maiden/novice hurdles 6 months apart but improvement can be expected now handicapping for very good stable.

Form: 454-3

Ten Thousand Stars¹⁵⁶

Age: 4| Weight: 11-8| J: Kielan Woods| T: A M Hales| OR: 102

28/1

Winner the on Flat at 2yrs and some promise initially over hurdles for Brian Ellison last summer. Well held over hurdles/on Flat thereafter and now starts out for new connections. Market should guide.

Form: 349-

Power Home²⁷

Age: 7| Weight: 11-8| J: J J Burke| T: D J Coakley| OR: 96| D

12/1

Found improvement in this sphere when winning 13-runner handicap at Warwick (2m) in April. Not in same form when sixth at Southwell (15.8f) since (reportedly lost a shoe). Needs to get back on the up.

Form: P731-6

Second Chapter⁵⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 11-8| J: Page Fuller| T: M Young| OR: 96

50/1

Showed more than previously when fifth of 17 in novice hurdle at Warwick (2m) in April and will hold more chance now handicapping. One to monitor in the betting for clues. Eng 3.00 Fontwell Sunday.

Form: 813/P75-

Getaway Glenda¹⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-7| J: David Noonan| T: J Candlish| OR: 95| D

66/1

Caused a shock when landing a mares' maiden at Tramore (2m) last summer but failed to back that up in handicaps thereafter. Stopped quickly on return/yard debut at Perth 3 weeks ago, however.

Form: 01P80-P

Punctuation¹⁶

Age: 4| Weight: 11-4| J: Aidan Coleman| T: C E Longsdon| OR: 98

5/1

Fairly useful on Flat, (stays 1¾m). Bought for 110,000 gns but fairly low-key start over hurdles, never on terms on back of a wind op when fifth in a Bangor maiden 16 days ago. May do better.

Form: 46-5

Derek Duval^t⁷

Age: 7| Weight: 11-3| J: D A Jacob| T: J & S Best| OR: 91

20/1

Fair Flat winner for Stuart Williams but out of sorts over hurdles/on Flat for Suzi Best. Could only be considered if betting speaks positively of him.

Glorious Dane¹⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 11-2| J: Brendan Powell| T: J Farrelly| OR: 90

8/1

Winner of an AW Flat seller for Julie Camacho in December. Comfortably held in 2 hurdles for new yard this spring but assessor is relinquishing his grip.

Improved to get off the mark at Southwell (15.8f) in November and ended last season with a good fourth at Stratford (2m) in March. Shaped as if needing run Newton Abbot 26 days ago and better expected

Form: 24854-7

Joint Account²²

Age: 8| Weight: 10-5| J: Charlie Hammond| T: D Frankland| OR: 79

20/1

Yet to better poor form to date but he did run one of his better races under a change of tactics when fourth in a Plumpton handicap (15.9f) earlier this month. Task is to build on that now.

Form: 97055-4

Serjeant Painter^p1¹¹

Age: 6| Weight: 10-4| J: David Bass| T: B Pauling| OR: 78| BF

4/1

Yet to get her head in front but posted best effort yet over hurdles when runner-up in a 13-runner Market Rasen handicap (16.5f) on yard debut 11 days ago. May do better again moving forward.

Form: 6/0094-2

Naasik^v²⁴

80/1

Long-standing maiden who ran better than for a while when fourth at Southwell (15.8f) in April but again proved disappointing at Market Rasen (16.5f) since. Others rate stronger.

Whitlock (15/8), Lost History (11/4), Serjeant Painter (4/1), Punctuation (5/1), Glorious Dane (8/1), Dylan's Sea Song (12/1), Power Home (12/1), Conundrum (14/1), Methusalar (16/1), Derek Duval (20/1), Joint Account (20/1), Fraterculus (20/1), Ten Thousand Stars (28/1), Second Chapter (50/1), Fast Deal (50/1), Getaway Glenda (66/1), Naasik (80/1)

WHITLOCK and Lost History both arrive on the back of last-time-out victories and rate the pair to focus on. The former, a one-time useful performer on the level, got off the mark in ready fashion in this sphere at Plumpton and just about shades the vote. Serjeant Painter, at the foot of the weights, is also worth keeping an eye on having run well at Market Rasen himself recently.
