Highly tried following debut success last term and good second on return/handicap bow at Wolverhampton (7f) in April. However, subsequent efforts have lacked spark and he has stamina to prove here.

Improved display when opening his account at the fifth time of asking in minor event at Salisbury (1¼m, soft) 16 days ago. Mark for this handicap bow looks fair and he's a must for the shortlist.

Got the better of a couple of subsequent winners on debut at Kempton (1m) in December. Fair fourth upped to this trip on return at Windsor (good to firm) and can improve now handicapping.

Promise sole 2-y-o start and chased home Derby hope Third Realm on return at Nottingham. Shade disappointing that he failed to deliver at Windsor (1¼m, good) since and more needed on handicap debut.

Did the job well when making a winning handicap debut at Beverley (1¼m, soft) last time. 5 lb rise by no means harsh and while stall 10 isn't ideal, she's a key player with further progress likely.

Fair return when third in a soft-ground C&D maiden, but that took his record to 0-8 and he's up against some comparatively unexposed types.

Signed off 2-y-o campaign on a winning note and followed up on return/handicap bow upped to this trip at Redcar. Heavy ground perhaps to blame for subsequent defeat and not without each-way hope.

Failed to build on debut promise in 2 subsequent starts last term and while his reappearance effort at Epsom (8.5f, good) was creditable, improvement is needed now upped in trip for this handicap bow.

Put experience to good use when off the mark in 7f novice here in September. However, beaten 12 lengths into third on return/handicap debut at Doncaster (10.2f, soft) and she looks vulnerable.

Enhanced good AW strike rate when landing a 1m Southwell handicap in March. Well beaten returned to turf at Nottingham next time, though, and it's best to look elsewhere.

Winner of 7f Newmarket novice on second start of 2-y-o campaign, but largely struggled since and she was safely held in the Beverley handicap won by Khezaana.

Forecasts

Military Mission (2/1), Beating All (10/3), Khezaana (13/2), Contact (7/1), Remedium (15/2), Rival (17/2), Solent Gateway (22/1), Mere Green (25/1), Choritzo (33/1), Spirit Of Sisra (50/1), Swinton Noon (100/1)

Verdict

There was much to like about the way KHEZAANA did the job on her handicap bow at Beverley and a 5 lb rise may not be enough to prevent this filly from striking again, providing she's swift off the blocks from stall 10. Military Mission is feared greatly on the back of his thoroughly decisive Salisbury success, while fellow handicap debutant Beating All is also shortlisted.

  1. KHEZAANA (IRE)
  2. MILITARY MISSION (IRE)
  3. BEATING ALL (USA)
