Bun Doran^p1,t⁶³

11/1

Fidelio Vallis¹⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 11-10| J: Bryony Le Clerc| T: P F Nicholls| OR: 143| D

8/15

Dual hurdles winner who is progressing well over fences, making it 3-4 in this sphere with an impressive victory at Kempton (2¼m, good) recently. Remains open to improvement for top yard.

Form: 24211-1

Deyrann de Carjac¹⁷⁹

Age: 8| Weight: 11-9| J: Thomas Bellamy| T: A King| OR: 142| CD

15/2

Initially took well to chasing in 2019 with a brace of novice wins 6 months apart. Perhaps conditions were too testing when returning at Haydock in November, but absent since and bit to prove now.

Form: 11330/P-

Hollywoodien^p⁶⁷

Age: 10| Weight: 11-3| J: Aidan Coleman| T: T Symonds| OR: 136| BF| CD

5/1

Winner of 2m Hereford handicap chase with cheekpieces refitted last March. Respectable second over the same C&D last time and should make his presence felt, albeit without being quite good enough.

Form: UP1/352-

Thecraicisninety²²⁴

Age: 10| Weight: 11-0| J: R P McLernon| T: J & A O'Neill| OR: 133

50/1

Winless since opening chase account at Sligo in September 2018, but has posted several good efforts in defeat since. Still, current mark looks stiff and needs a personal best on debut for new yard.

Form: 824/238-

Tikkinthebox^t³⁶

Age: 9| Weight: 10-8| J: Bryan Carver⁽³⁾| T: J Scott| OR: 127| CD

18/1

Winner of handicap chases at Uttoxeter and Stratford in 2020, and looked better than ever when adding to his tally back from a break at Newton Abbot (16.3f, good) last month. This is tougher.

Form: 4/13151-

Forecasts

Fidelio Vallis (8/15), Hollywoodien (5/1), Deyrann de Carjac (15/2), Bun Doran (11/1), Tikkinthebox (18/1), Thecraicisninety (50/1)

It's hard to look beyond FIDELIO VALLIS, who completed the hat-trick on his handicap debut in this sphere with minimum fuss at Kempton 16 days ago. On the face of it, a 6 lb rise looks very fair indeed and this 6-y-o should have more to offer. C&D winners Hollywoodien and Tikkinthebox should both give it a good shot, but Bun Doran has slipped to a dangerous mark and he is feared most.
