Fairly useful Flat winner who confirmed an aptitude for hurdling when fourth in 2m novice at Warwick last month. Creditable second back on the Flat since. Leading contender.

Fair form when placed on the first of 3 starts over hurdles in France. Offered little on completed start for this yard at Ascot, but that was a competitive event and this is much less demanding.

Fair Flat winner, stays 9.5f, back to form when third of 8 in handicap at Wolverhampton (9.5f) 55 days ago. Of some interest making hurdling debut for in-form yard. Hooded.

Fairly useful maiden on the Flat for John Butler. Offered little sent hurdling for new yard when pulled up at Kempton in December, though was said to have bled, so perhaps worth another chance.

Encouraging start behind promising winner in Listowel bumper in September but well below that level both starts since, pulling hard.

Forecasts

Zuba (5/4), Burgundy Man (11/4), Jalwan (7/2), Man Of The Sea (6/1), Decora (8/1), Cheat (10/1), Taylors Three Rock (50/1), Westtara (50/1), Delta River (150/1), Lambristo (200/1)

Verdict

The vote goes to ZUBA, who cofirmed an aptitide for hurdling when fourth at Warwick last month and has since run well back on the Flat. Burgundy Man offered little on completed start for this yard at Ascot but this is much less demanding, while Cheat is also worth a look making his hurdling debut for an in-form yard.

  1. ZUBA
  2. BURGUNDY MAN (FR)
  3. CHEAT (IRE)
