Manhattan Bullet⁵⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 11-12| J: Joe Anderson⁽⁷⁾| T: Miss E C Lavelle| OR: 99

Modest hurdler who made no impact from a stiff mark on handicap debut at Fontwell 50 days ago. Hard to fancy.

King Cool³⁴

Age: 10| Weight: 11-10| J: Joshua Moore| T: G & J Moore| OR: 97| C

12/1

Modest/inconsistent hurdler who is hard to recommend based on his two outings this year.

Form: 61270P-

Tommie Beau²²

Age: 6| Weight: 11-6| J: Kevin Jones⁽³⁾| T: J W Mullins| OR: 93

4/1

Fair form when fifth in only bumper. Below that level in handful of starts over hurdles but latest effort was more encouraging and longer trip promises to suit. Definite player.

Form: 57/0504-

Bob Backus^b,t1²⁸

Age: 6| Weight: 11-1| J: Ben Godfrey⁽⁵⁾| T: A J Honeyball| OR: 88| CD

11/10

Lightly-raced sort who left previous efforts behind when comfortably landing a C&D handicap 28 days ago. Open to further progress with tongue tie on, so makes plenty of appeal.

Form: 800U1-

Givehimhisdew^t¹⁷

Age: 6| Weight: 10-11| J: Alan Doyle⁽⁷⁾| T: K Davis| OR: 84

80/1

Offered little in bumpers/over hurdles, including inauspicious handicap debut at Exeter 17 days ago. Others preferred.

Form: 050587-

Queen Among Kings^p⁸

Age: 7| Weight: 10-7| J: Page Fuller| T: A Irvine| OR: 80

11/2

Runner-up a couple of times in April and, while her latest effort was tame, it would be no surprise were she to bounce back quickly. Not discounted.

Form: 66522-0

Soarlikeaneagle²³

Age: 9| Weight: 10-4| J: James Davies| T: R Rowe| OR: 77

7/1

Improved to win 7-runner handicap hurdle at Fontwell (25.8f, good to firm) 23 days ago, well on top finish. Solid claims if he can back that up.

Form: F36291-

Jappeloup^p1,t1³⁴

Age: 12| Weight: 10-0| J: Tabitha Worsley⁽⁵⁾| T: Mrs D Grissell| OR: 69

20/1

Poor maiden hurdler/chaser. Has shown some ability remains this year but is up against it from out of the weights.

Form: 2F9/555-

Steel The China^b1,t²³

Age: 9| Weight: 10-0| J: Danny Burton⁽⁵⁾| T: Mrs L C Jewell| OR: 10

125/1

Dual winning pointer who has shown nothing under Rules so far. Readily passed over.

Form: P8/PP66-

Forecasts

Bob Backus (11/10), Tommie Beau (4/1), Queen Among Kings (11/2), Soarlikeaneagle (7/1), King Cool (12/1), Manhattan Bullet (18/1), Jappeloup (20/1), Givehimhisdew (80/1), Steel The China (125/1)

TOMMIE BEAU produced his best effort to date over hurdles when a rallying fourth in a handicap at Bangor last time so, upped to 3m for the first time, he's worth chancing to land a weak affair. Recent C&D winner Bob Backus is another player, while Soarlikeaneagle also warrants respect following his ready success at Fontwell.
