Dual winner who got back on track in a race not run to suit when second in 4-runner event over C&D 38 days ago. Could yet do better if getting more of a test at the trip.

Deservedly opened his account in 3m handicap hurdle at Carlisle in November. Failed to fire at Ayr and bled when pulled up on chasing debut at Catterick last time. Bit to prove back from a break.

Back on song from much-reduced mark through the winter, winning over 2m at Newcastle/Sedgefield. Respectable efforts since but has her stamina to prove now stepping up in trip.

Useful chaser at best for Philip Hobbs. Easily best effort for this yard when third in 2½m handicap chase here in March and has a lower mark to work with now back over hurdles. Unseated last time.

Novice winner for Nigel Twiston-Davies but ended time with yard in disappointing fashion and fared no better in 2 runs for James Moffatt last term. Break/wind op needs to have had a positive effect.

Fairly useful 21f hurdle winner for Nicky Henderson but has shown little spark in 5 outings for Ben Haslam (3 of which over fences). Could only consider if heavily backed.

Encouragement in bumpers and shaped up well over hurdles in the autumn, finishing second on Musselburgh handicap debut. Proved a let-down 4 months on at Market Rasen but it remains early days.

Fairly useful hurdler at best who capitalised on a reduced mark at Catterick (19f) in February. Has backed that up with a trio of decent efforts and should remain competitive in first-time blinkers.

50/1, probably needed the run on first start since leaving Philip Kirby when twelfth of 14 in handicap hurdle at Newcastle (16.2f, good to soft) 60 days ago. Up in trip, and this will reveal more.

Forecasts

Hart Of Steel (4/1), Sheriff Garrett (9/2), Universal Folly (9/2), Laskadine (6/1), Franks Fancy (6/1), Coup De Gold (15/2), Lostnfound (9/1), Kayf Adventure (12/1), O'Hanrahan Bridge (14/1), Jelski (18/1), Macardle (25/1), Coral Blue (33/1), France De Reve (40/1), Rip Rocks Paddy Ok (125/1)

Verdict

HART OF STEEL got back on track in a race not run to suit over C&D last time and could yet do better if getting more of a test at this trip. Sheriff Garrett has held his form well since capitalising on a drop in the weights at Catterick in February so he's one to consider fitted with first-time blinkers, as is Kayf Adventure, who has a lower mark to work with back in this sphere.

  2. SHERIFF GARRETT (IRE)
  3. KAYF ADVENTURE
