Stylish win in Group 3 at the Curragh last summer before producing a very smart performance when third in Irish Champion. Backed that up when second in Cox Plate and leading player on return.

Smart horse. In good form on the AW this year, winning twice at Lingfield, including listed event. Just as effective on turf and race fitness could count for something here.

Progressed well in handicaps last season, winning 4 times, including over C&D. Took form to another level when just edged out by Bangkok at Lingfield 5 weeks ago so not to be underestimated.

Raced just twice since looking potentially top-class when scoring at Royal Ascot in 2019 and augurs well that he was able to win at Lingfield from a couple of these in December. Another wind op since.

Verdict

ARMORY brings strong Group 1 form having finished placed in the Irish Champion at Leopardstown and this tight track should hold no fears having also finished runner-up in the Cox Plate at Moonee Valley. Sangarius has been seen only twice since his impressive win at Royal Ascot in 2019 but remains with potential and had Bangkok and Palavecino in behind when scoring at Lingfield in December.
