Off the mark in this sphere and over hurdles at Musselburgh in February 2020. Rather disapponting at Newcastle on last month's belated reappearance, though, and best form has come on soft/heavy going.
Three-time winner here since the turn of the year, the latest off 2 lb lower mark over 16.5f in March. However, form has taken a turn for the worse the last twice.
Off the mark at third attempt over fences when making all at Newcastle in December. However, failed to complete next 2 starts and while he got round at Sedgefield last time, his jumping was sketchy.
Back to form at Carlisle the last twice, latterly landing a Class 2 handicap with a first-time tongue strap enlisted. However, up 7 lb and things rather went his way on that occasion.
Bagged deep-ground handicap chases at Catterick and Wetherby during the winter. However, he was below par last time (busy campaign possibly catching up with him) and conditions here may be too lively.
It's been a while since he last put his best foot forward and hopes pinned on first-time cheekpieces sparking an unlikely revival.
Pulled up on 3 of her final 4 starts of 2019/20 campaign, and hard to make a case for here starting out for new yard following 14 months off.
Well on top at the finish when opening chase account at the third attempt at Kelso (21.6f, good). 7 lb rise tolerable and, with the promise of better to come in this sphere, he makes plenty of appeal.

Forecasts
Mannochmore (1/1), Roxboro Road (9/4), First Account (16/5), Victory Echo (7/1), Well Above Par (15/2), Relkadam (10/1), Ardera Cross (16/1), Blakerigg (16/1), Better Getalong (20/1), Schmidt (25/1), Alf 'n' Dor (50/1)
MANNOCHMORE was beaten 13 lengths when fourth to Roxboro Road at Musselburgh in March, but he subsequently improved when scoring at Kelso and there should be more to come from this 6-y-o. Furthermore, he meets Ben Haslam's charge on 17 lb better terms now. Roxboro Road is still second choice, despite rocketing up the weights, given that Relkadam is likely to find conditions too lively here.
