Showed improved form to land a Salisbury novice (1m) in September. Below form at Ayr final start but back on the up to score on return at Beverley (7.4f) last week. Can go well again from revised mark

Had a productive 2-y-o season, landing maiden/minor events and unlucky to lose 100% record when just touched off on nursery bow in October. Below best on Musselburgh return but entitled to be sharper.

Progressive juvenile, readily making all in a Yarmouth novice (1m) in September. Solid pair of runners-up efforts in handicaps both starts this spring and shortlisted with potential for better still.

Frankel colt who has found one too good on each of his 3 starts in maidens at upto 7f, caught further back than ideal here for the latest of them. 1m promises to suit now and one to be interested in.

Dawn Approach colt who continued theme of race-by-race progress when second in a C&D handicap 2 weeks ago, finishing with running left. Shouldn't be dismissed lightly.

Forecasts

Magical Land (9/4), Forest Falcon (11/4), Crossford (7/2), Zwelela (8/1), Longlai (17/2), Tornadic (12/1)

Verdict

A host of unexposed sorts and it may pay to side with MAGICAL LAND. He's filled the runner-up spot on each of his 3 starts to date but was deserving of extra credit having been caught further back than ideal for the latest of them here (7f) last month. The son of Frankel can do better still now handicapping at 1m and earns the vote. Forest Falcon and hat-trick seeking Zwelela head up the dangers.

  1. MAGICAL LAND (IRE)
  2. FOREST FALCON (IRE)
  3. ZWELELA (FR)
