66/1, very green when last of 12 in maiden at Southwell (8.1f) on debut in November. Should do better but this is no easy ask.

Has shown fair form when runner-up on his last three runs, no disgrace in chasing home very useful Trawlerman over 1m4f here (11/8) on his return. Sets a decent standard.

13/8, encouraging debut sixth of 10 in 1m3f maiden at Kempton in December, keeping on without being give a hard time of it. Son of Dubawi is sure to build on that. Player.

Forecasts

King Frankel (4/5), King Of Tomorrow (1/1), Gurkha's Surprise (125/1)

Verdict

KING FRANKEL was no match for the very useful Trawlerman here on his reappearance but still rates the clear form pick and is taken to gain a deserved first win after three consecutive second placings. Charlie Appleby's son of Dubawi King of Tomorrow is sure to build on a promising Kempton sixth so should ensure Mark Johnston's colt doesn't have things all his own way ahead of Gurkha's Surprise.

  1. KING FRANKEL (IRE)
  2. KING OF TOMORROW
  3. GURKHA'S SURPRISE (IRE)
