Very good third of 13 in handicap (3/1) at Wolverhampton (8.6f), needing stiffer test. Off 6 months and step back up in trip will suit on reappearance.

Result Amended

Classical Wave - Original Position 1st. Amended Position 2nd.
Maiden Castle - Original Position 2nd. Amended Position 1st.

Forecasts

Maiden Castle (2/1), Classical Wave (2/1), Water's Edge (5/1), Mordred (11/2), Canal Rocks (18/1), Hotspur Harry (20/1), Zambezi Magic (33/1)

Verdict

CLASSICAL WAVE didn't fire on a couple of occasions on turf in France last year so his ability to be as effective on grass is in question, but he's certainly made a very positive start for his new yard so is worth siding with. Maiden Castle may yet have more to offer as a 5-y-o and is feared, along with course-specialist Water's Edge.

  1. CLASSICAL WAVE
  2. MAIDEN CASTLE
  3. WATER'S EDGE (IRE)
