Overwrite¹¹

Age: 4| Weight: 9-6| J: F Norton| T: C & M Johnston| OR: 89| D

9/2

16/5, didn't need to improve to win 7-runner handicap at Newmarket 11 days ago, just holding on. Remains nicely handicapped on last year's exploits and should give a bold bid from the front.

Form: 305-021

Artistic Rifles^t²⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 9-5| J: P J McDonald| T: E Bethell| OR: 88| D

1/1

8/1, career best when winning 20-runner handicap at Doncaster (8f, good) 28 days ago, despite facing a headwind throughout. Has a good attitude and there's probably more to come.

Form: 3411-31

La Trinidad¹⁹⁶

Age: 4| Weight: 9-3| J: B A Curtis| T: R Fell & S Murray| OR: 86| D

7/2

Below form sixth of 14 in handicap (10/1) at York (10.2f, soft), needing lesser test. Off 6 months. Back down in trip. May well need this return.

Form: 173346-

(2)

Garden Oasis^p¹⁹⁷

Age: 6| Weight: 8-11| J: D Fentiman| T: T D Easterby| OR: 80| CD

12/1

C&D winner. Bit below form tenth of 20 in handicap at York (7.9f, soft, 22/1). Off 6 months. Likely to need the run and mark leaves no room for manoeuvre.

Form: 765610-

(4)

Daafr^v¹⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 8-7| J: Cam Hardie| T: A Brittain| OR: 76| D

25/1

Four wins from 20 runs last year. Latest win at Southwell in March. 12/1, ninth of 10 in handicap at Redcar (7f, good to firm) 19 days ago, not much room. Bit to prove.

Form: 871439

Forecasts

Artistic Rifles (1/1), La Trinidad (7/2), Overwrite (9/2), Garden Oasis (12/1), Eagle Court (14/1), Daafr (25/1)

This could be fought out by last-time-out winners ARTISTIC RIFLES and Overwrite, who have a fitness edge over the bulk of their rivals. The first-named is marginally preferred and La Trinidad is arguably the pick of the remainder.
