Off time: 17:35 | Winning time: 4m 58.10s

Gran Luna⁶¹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-5| J: Tom Cannon| T: N J Henderson| OR: 121

11/8

A good sort physically who won both her starts at Newbury 8 months apart, namely a bumper and a mares' novice hurdle. Disappointed after 4 months off at Market Rasen but retains potential up in trip.

Form: 1-13

Midnight Ginger²⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 11-5| J: J Martin⁽⁷⁾| T: Andrew Martin| OR: 114

6/4

Winner of a Newbury bumper/Fakenham novice hurdle for Alan King. Ran respectably on final outing for that yard in a competitive handicap at Haydock (18.9f) recently, though was better than most.

Form: 1P3626

Miss Tara Moss³⁸

Age: 6| Weight: 11-5| J: Fergus Gregory⁽³⁾| T: O Greenall & J Guerriero| OR: 114

4/1

Improved when opening account over hurdles in similar event over this trip at Sedgefield 3 weeks ago, battling well. More needed again under penalty but could be up to it.

Form: 75231

Alfida²⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 10-12| J: Brendan Powell| T: M Scudamore

22/1

Is related to numerous winners over jumps, but lacks scope and didn't offer much on hurdling debut here last month.

Form: 759

Groovy Kind^t⁹⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 10-12| J: Lorcan Williams⁽³⁾| T: P F Nicholls

20/1

In top hands but hasn't offered a great deal to shout about in a pair of bumpers. Goes hurdling now up in trip.

Form: 00

Snug As A Bug^t¹⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 10-12| J: Paul O'Brien⁽³⁾| T: F Brennan

100/1

Pulled up sole outing in points and showed nothing when well beaten in a Southwell bumper on Rules debut 10 days ago.

Form: P-8

Forecasts

Gran Luna (11/8), Midnight Ginger (6/4), Miss Tara Moss (4/1), Groovy Kind (20/1), Alfida (22/1), Snug As A Bug (100/1)

GRAN LUNA disappointed on the back of a wind operation/4 months off at Market Rasen, but she'd looked an above-average prospect prior to that, so is worth another chance to get her career back on track over a trip that should suit. Miss Tara Moss has a nice attitude which will stand her in good stead in her attempt to defy a penalty.
