Promising sort. Won 13-runner minor event (5/4) at Kempton (7f) on debut in November, cosily. Clearly a nice prospect and very much the one to beat here.
Twice-raced winner. Won 4-runner minor event (4/5) at Chelmsford City (8f), having run of race. Off 131 days. Top yard has made a good start to the season and this well-bred colt is open to progress.
11,000 gns yearling, £30,000 2-y-o, Gleneagles colt. Dam, 9.5f winner, half-sister to very smart winner up to 12.5f Loxley out of high-class 1¼m/11f winner Lady Marian. Watch the market for clues.
Twice-raced maiden. Fourth of 11 in minor event (9/4) at Redcar (9f, heavy) in October, suited by increase in trip. Now tried in a hood and there should be better to come this season.
Kendargent colt. Half-brother to 2-y-o 1m winner Lastochka and 7f winner Ligera. Represents a leading yard and it will be interesting to see what the market has to say.
Twice-raced maiden. Fifth of 9 in minor event at Newcastle (8f, 28/1), hampered. Off 176 days. Open to improvement and not to be underestimated.
Dubawi gelding. Dam, 1½m winner, sister to high-class winner up to 1½m Taghrooda out of smart 1m-1¾m winner Ezima. Represents powerful connections and needs close attention in the betting.
Twice-raced maiden. Last of 8 in maiden at Chelmsford City (7f, 22/1) 14 days ago. Probably more one for handicaps further down the line.
2,500 gns 2-y-o, Charm Spirit filly. Half-sister to several winners, including smart 1¼m-16.6f winner Watersmeet and useful 1m-1½m winner Luncies. Unlikely first-time-out winner.
Sir Percy filly. Half-sister to 2 winners, including French 10.5f winner Masetto. Dam, useful German 1m-1¼m winner, half-sister to useful 1m winner Avenir Rubra. Probably best watched on debut.
Karakontie filly. Dam unraced out of smart winner up to 9.5f (2-y-o 1m winner) Aruna. Top yard also fields Sabousi and it'll be interesting to see how this filly measures up in the betting.

Forecasts
Royal Fleet (8/15), Ubahha (13/2), Sabousi (8/1), Sunrise Valley (9/1), Chalk Stream (11/1), Lankaran (16/1), Liger King (40/1), Al Thumama Lord (80/1), Merci Percy (150/1), Your Love Is King (200/1), Cabrini (250/1)
While several of these are armed with potential, ROYAL FLEET's claims are the most compelling on the back of his cosy debut success at Kempton towards the end of last year. Chalk Stream should be winning races before long, but he's likely to come into his own over 1¼m+ and bigger threats may be posed by Liger King and Sabousi. Of the newcomers, Ubahha is the most appealing on paper.
- ROYAL FLEET
- LIGER KING (IRE)
- SABOUSI (IRE)
