10/3, made really promising start when second of 12 in minor event at Kempton (8f) on debut, making up a lot of ground after a tardy start. Big player for yard who have a fine record in this event.

Forecasts

Foxes Tales (2/1), Counsel (2/1), Alfaadhel (9/2), Raging Rascal (11/1), Saligo Bay (16/1), Professor Calculus (18/1), Danville (20/1), Master Of Souls (20/1), Bearwith (33/1), Moraweth (40/1)

Verdict

Andrew Balding's FOXES TALES really caught the eye when runner-up at Kempton on his opening run and is fancied to take a big step forward and emerge on top for a stable that has an excellent record in this contest. Counsel went with a lot of promise too when filling the same berth at Newcastle on his debut and rates a big threat, with Roger Varian's newcomer Alfaadhel not taken lightly either.

  1. FOXES TALES (IRE)
  2. COUNSEL
  3. ALFAADHEL (IRE)
