Successful twice last year and, on the back of 6 months off, has ran well to finish runner-up in pair of AW handicaps in recent days. Won this in 2019 and can go well again.
Landed a gamble on return at Thirsk (5f) back in June and went in again at York (6f) in July. Exploits proved mixed thereafter but handicapper has relinquished his grip ahead of his return.
Winless last term (though twice went close here) and, from much-reduced mark he produced a solid comeback effort when second at Musselburgh (5f) 2 weeks ago. Definite possibilities.
Kept busy on all-weather this winter, adding third success to his tally at Wolverhampton (5f) 16 days ago. Should give another good account operating from his lower turf mark.
Resumed winning ways from this mark over C&D in September and likely last month's AW reappearance effort was needed. However, he does face a host of in-form sorts returning to turf.
Ended last season in good form and kicked off present campaign with a pair of solid efforts in defeat on AW. Shade underwhelming when sixth at Musselburgh 2 weeks ago but not one to write off.
Fair sort who ended long losing run over C&D in August. Mixed bag thereafter but he should strip fitter for last month's Newcastle return. Still, others preferred for win purposes.

Forecasts
Canford Bay (11/4), Dapper Man (3/1), Afandem (4/1), Abate (5/1), Mutabaahy (17/2), Pavers Pride (10/1), Van Gerwen (25/1)
Claims can be made for plenty in the finale and it may pay to side with AFANDEM. He ran a solid race to finish runner-up on return at Musselburgh 2 weeks ago and it's worth noting he twice went close from higher marks over C&D last season. The Antony Brittain trained-pair Mutabaahy, from his lower turf mark, and Canford Bay, head up the dangers.
