Musahaba²⁵⁸

Age: 4| Weight: 10-0| J: D Nolan| T: D O'Meara

17/2

Better effort in maidens for Kevin Prendergast when fifth at Naas 8 months ago but this marked drop in trip is unlikely to see him to best effect on debut for new yard.

Form: 65-

(3)

Albegone

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: D Fentiman| T: T D Easterby

40/1

Alhebayeb gelding. Dam, 5f winner, half-sister to useful 5f-6f winner Benny And The Jets. Worth a market check.

Form:

(2)

Barney's Bay²⁰⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: D Allan| T: T D Easterby| OR: 74

11/8

Breeze-Up acquisition who shaped with encouragement on both outings last term, so may do better back from 6 months off/gelding op.

Form: 24-

(4)

El Dorado Spirit

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Jason Hart| T: J & S Quinn

25/1

18,000 gns yearling, Havana Gold gelding. Half-brother to several winners, including useful 2-y-o 5f winner Ponty Acclaim and winner up to 7f Adham. Dam maiden (stayed 6f).

Form:

(7)

Hugsy¹²¹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: P Hanagan| T: R A Fahey

18/1

Encouragement at Newcastle on debut, then probably unsuited by surface at Southwell next time. Remains with potential but perhaps more of a handicap type.

Form: 67-

(10)

Pacha Prince³⁰⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Callum Rodriguez| T: M Dods

40/1

Failed to beat a rival at Newcastle on debut 10 months ago. Should know more, but hard to think he'll improve enough to take this.

Form: 0-

(5)

Dexter Belle²⁶¹

Age: 3| Weight: 8-11| J: K Stott| T: K A Ryan

1/1

Speedily-bred filly who made an eye-catching debut when mid-field at York (7f) 8 months ago, unable to sustain her effort having travelled powerfully. Open to marked improvement.

Form: 7-

(1)

Moorland Queen²⁶⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 8-11| J: J P Sullivan| T: T D Easterby

28/1

In need of experience when down the field on both juvenile outings. Hard to make a case for after 8 months off.

Form: 77-

(6)

Porth Diana²⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 8-11| J: G Lee| T: B Smart

150/1

No sign of ability as yet, so hard to fancy.

T: K R Burke J: C Lee

Forecasts

Dexter Belle (1/1), Barney's Bay (11/8), Musahaba (17/2), Entwistle (10/1), Hugsy (18/1), El Dorado Spirit (25/1), Moorland Queen (28/1), Albegone (40/1), Pacha Prince (40/1), Porth Diana (150/1)

DEXTER BELLE impressed with the way she travelled when seventh in a stronger race at York on debut 8 months ago and, with plenty improvement on the cards, she makes obvious appeal. Barney's Bay is a danger and El Dorado Spirit strikes as a notable newcomer.
