Bumper winner in October 2019 who sprung a 40/1 surprise when winning 3m Doncaster listed event on her hurdling debut 25 days ago. Back down in trip here, but open to improvement nonetheless.

€35,000 3-y-o, Balko mare. Dam, 17f hurdle winner, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/smart chaser (stayed 23f) Polidam. Runner-up in sole point, so worth a market check for in-form yard.

Winning Irish pointer who shaped like a stayer when third in a weak affair at Catterick (15.7f) on her hurdles debut 3 weeks ago. This trip will suit but needs a sizeable step forward.

Runner-up in British point bumper in April 2019 and found only one too good on second bumper outing at Taunton last March. Not seen since, but she's bred for hurdling and in very good hands.

Just poor form in bumpers so readily passed over on this switch to hurdling.

Unpromising in points and hasn't offered a great deal in a pair of bumpers. Steps up in trip for hurdle debut in first-time cheekpieces.

Fair hurdler who was soon back on track when second of 15 in novice at Newbury (20.5f, heavy) in January, jumping better and going with a lot more enthusiasm. Solid claims with a repeat.

Forecasts

Dragon Bones (4/7), Tequila Blaze (11/4), Padstow Harbour (11/1), Latino Fling (14/1), Phil Healy (16/1), Bonbon Balko (18/1), Southfield Megan (150/1), Talk Of A Storm (200/1)

Verdict

DRAGON BONES was good value for making a winning hurdling debut in a listed event at Doncaster 25 days ago and, with her bumper debut win reading well, she looks up to defying a penalty. Tequila Blaze quickly got her career back on track with a good second at Newbury in January, while Padstow Harbour also requires a look having shown plenty in a brace of bumpers last term.

  1. DRAGON BONES
  2. TEQUILA BLAZE
  3. PADSTOW HARBOUR
