Flat winner for Roger Charlton and made it third time lucky over hurdles at Catterick in February 2019. However, largely struggled since, both in this sphere and on the level.

Landed back-to-back handicap hurdles at Catterick last winter, but not matched that form since and opposable despite coming back down the weights.

Went close in a jumpers bumper last month and another near miss back in this sphere at Plumpton (15.9f, good) last week, strong at the finish. Obvious chance off the same mark here.

Has looked a different proposition equipped with cheekpieces back at 2m the last twice, bagging handicaps at Wincanton and Wetherby. Escapes a penalty for the latter and she's the one to beat.

Successful in the mud at Hexham in November 2019. Now 1 lb below that winning mark, but that is his sole victory from 18 starts over hurdles and recent efforts have lacked spark.

Finally off the mark on the level at Redcar last summer, but without success following a dozen attempts in this sphere and likely to come up short once more. Visor refitted.

Modest Flat maiden who has finished down the field in 3 runs over hurdles. Big step forward needed on handicap debut in this sphere.

Has slipped to a potentially very handy mark (14 lb lower than for his Sedgefield success last term), but well below par so far this season and may find conditions too lively here.

Merely hinted at ability so far and switch to handicap company failed to bring about improvement at Hexham when last seen in September.

Fair stayer on the Flat for David Simcock and while he has made a very low-key start over hurdles, improvement may well be forthcoming now going down the handicap route off a lowly opening mark.

Verdict

PELTWELL has turned things around in a major way of late and, with no penalty to carry following last week's easy success at Wetherby, she is taken to complete the hat-trick. Clear second best is Nye Bevan, who produced his best effort yet in this sphere when touched off at Plumpton recently. Highland Sky has yet to shine over hurdles, but needs a second look in the betting on this handicap debut.
