Gulliver^p,t²³

Age: 7| Weight: 9-7| J: M Harley| T: D O'Meara| OR: 103| CD

8/1

C&D winner. Latest win at York in October. 10/1, last of 8 in handicap at Southwell (7.1f) 23 days ago. Certainly capable off this mark, but needs to bounce back.

Form: 015-268

Barbill¹⁸⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 9-3| J: J F Egan| T: M R Channon| OR: 99| D

11/1

Two wins from 5 runs last year. 20/1, seventeenth of 24 in handicap at Ayr (6f, good to soft), hampered. Off 6 months ahead of this polytrack debut and he looks vulnerable.

Form: 8/10160-

(6)

Streamline¹⁴

Age: 4| Weight: 9-1| J: Liam Keniry| T: C G Cox| OR: 97| CD

9/2

C&D winner. Career best when winning 8-runner handicap at Wolverhampton (6.1f, 11/4) 14 days ago, driven out. 3 lb rise fair enough and he has to enter calculations.

Form: 31/6561

(5)

Lord Rapscallion^t¹⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 8-13| J: Daniel Muscutt| T: S C Williams| OR: 95| D

11/1

Tongue strap on for 1st time, creditable 1¼ lengths fourth of 8 to Streamline in handicap at Wolverhampton (6.1f, 17/2) 14 days ago. Likely to find one or two too good once more.

Form: 284-504

(7)

May Sonic³⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 8-13| J: R Kingscote| T: C Hills| OR: 95| CD

85/40

Two wins from 5 runs last year. Career best when winning 8-runner handicap at this C&D (9/1) 38 days ago, keeping on well. Clearly likes it here and very much of interest, despite 4 lb rise.

Form: 25110-1

(2)

Great Ambassador¹⁷¹

Age: 4| Weight: 8-8| J: L Morris| T: E Walker| OR: 90

9/4

Very good second of 14 in handicap at this course (7f, 11/1). Off 171 days. First run for yard after leaving Ralph Beckett and big player if coping with this drop back in trip.

Form: 301/772-

(4)

Nigel Nott^v⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 8-7| J: Josephine Gordon| T: M Appleby| OR: 89| D

22/1

Four wins from 15 runs last year. Third of 5 in handicap (9/2) at Lingfield (5f, AW) 8 days ago, merely closing up late. Needs to raise his game.

Form: 456323

Forecasts

May Sonic (85/40), Great Ambassador (9/4), Streamline (9/2), Gulliver (8/1), Barbill (11/1), Lord Rapscallion (11/1), Nigel Nott (22/1)

The vote goes to GREAT AMBASSADOR, who improved when going close in a 7f handicap here when last seen in October. He may well have more to offer for new connections this season and dropping back in trip is unlikely to be an issue. Last-time-out winners May Sonic and Streamline are feared most in that order.
