Largely underwhelming efforts in handful of starts last season and no great encouragement so far this term. Return to quicker ground could suit, and he's on a dangerous mark.

One-time fairly useful hurdler for Kevin Frost and shaped as if in need of the run back from a long absence when fifth over C&D in February. Could step forward from that.

Fair hurdler who has made little impact since joining his current stable. Blinkers on for the first time, but several others make more appeal.

Signed off for last season with success in novice hurdle at Musselburgh. Has gone backwards from reappearance (over fences) this term but has undergone wind surgery since last seen at Ayr in November.

On a steep upward curve when last seen in the autumn, completing a double when readily forging away at Wetherby. That form has worked out well and should be fit enough, so hat-trick is on the cards.

Failed to progress over hurdles for Oliver Sherwood but sixth at Ascot on handicap/stable debut represented a step up. Not seen for 145 days since, but could have improved again.

Long-standing maiden for Gordon Elliott and not seen for 19 months ahead of stable debut, so hard to make any sort of case for.

Has a bit of temperament about him and arrives on the back of a tame showing at Doncaster 54 days ago. Hood and tongue strap now tried, and he's been given a chance by the handicapper.

Runner up sole start in points and, while yet to make a serious impact under Rules, there has been some encouragement the last twice, so may yet do better.

Lightly-raced hurdler who has yet to better modest form and has produced a disappointing finishing effort on both handicap outings. Something to prove.

On a losing run and generally disappointing this term, including over fences. Has rejoined former yard from Charlie Longdson, so could revive after a break.

Forecasts

Apache Creek (5/2), Fevertre (6/1), No No Maestro (13/2), Glorious Lady (15/2), Don't Ask (10/1), Hurricane Dylan (11/1), Wicked Willy (12/1), Arcadian Pearl (12/1), Aliandy (14/1), Merry Milan (16/1), Rockhamtom (20/1), Whatthebutlersaw (25/1), Monition (66/1)

Verdict

APACHE CREEK was impressive at Wetherby when last seen in October and is expected to pick up where he left off after connections have presumably held off for better ground. Wicked Willy and Glorious Lady both require a return to form but make plenty of appeal from a handicapping perspective.

  1. APACHE CREEK (IRE)
  2. WICKED WILLY (IRE)
  3. GLORIOUS LADY (IRE)
