Off time: 14:20 | Winning time: 4m 9.34s

Sabbathical^v⁵^{(ex 7)}

Age: 6| Weight: 12-0| J: B S Hughes| T: Evan Williams| OR: 95| D

6/5

Benefited from a first-time visor when readily defying his lower hurdles mark under this jockey at Carlisle 5 days ago. Looks the one to beat if the race doesn't come too soon.

Oak Vintage^p¹²⁴

Age: 11| Weight: 11-13| J: Ross Chapman| T: P A Kirby| OR: 101| CD

18/1

C&D winner collared in the dying strides here on return. Disappointing subsequently and off 4 months prior to this. Market could be informative.

Form: 755-2P8

My Renaissance^t²¹

Age: 11| Weight: 11-1| J: Jonathan England| T: S England| OR: 89| CD

25/1

Out of sorts since scoring over C&D in September, so needs to bounce back if he's to have any chance of getting competitive.

Form: 513F5P

Costly Diamond^t¹⁹

Age: 7| Weight: 10-11| J: William Shanahan⁽⁷⁾| T: G Hanmer| OR: 85| CD

3/1

Winning pointer who left previous chasing efforts behind when scoring unchallenged over C&D last time, solid claims if he can back that up.

Form: 704431

Gris De Pron^h,t⁸

Age: 8| Weight: 10-6| J: C J Todd⁽³⁾| T: O Greenall & J Guerriero| OR: 80| C| D

7/1

Well held in 2 hurdle runs during the summer and, having re-joined former yard, hasn't made much impression over fences the last twice. Bit to prove.

Form: 57-P0P6

Frankie Ballou^b,t¹⁹

Age: 12| Weight: 10-0| J: Sean Quinlan| T: Miss J E Foster| OR: 74| CD

10/1

On a long losing run and last few of efforts have been disappointing, well-beaten sixth despite being sent off 7/2 over C&D last time.

Form: 772P66

Elixer¹⁹

Age: 8| Weight: 10-0| J: Lorcan Murtagh⁽³⁾| T: F P Murtagh| OR: 72

17/2

Remains a maiden after 22 runs but has been in reasonable form recently, second to Costly Diamond (albeit no match for that rival) over C&D 19 days ago. Unlikely to reverse form.

Forecasts

Sabbathical (6/5), Costly Diamond (3/1), Court Jurado (5/1), Gris De Pron (7/1), Elixer (17/2), Frankie Ballou (10/1), Oak Vintage (18/1), My Renaissance (25/1)

SABBATHICAL and Costly Diamond both had plenty in hand when scoring recently and may well fight this out, with the former marginally preferred. Most of the others will be dependant on the aforementioned underperforming, but Oak Vintage isn't a forlorn hope after a break.
