Runner-up sole start in Irish points in October and sales price rose to £40,000. Successful start under Rules at Musselburgh in January and runner-up win next time. Big shout under a penalty.

€36,000 3-y-o, Kayf Tara gelding. Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler Burn Baby Byrne. Maiden pointer, though was closing when fell at last latest (Dec 13). Wears tongue strap.
From a good NH family and showed a bit on debut at Market Rasen in September, not seen to best effect. Race also wasn't run to suit at Wincanton and he likely has more to offer.
£3,800 3-y-o, Westerner gelding. Dam (h83), 19f hurdle winner (stayed 2¾m), half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser (stayed 2¾m) Black Benny. Wears tongue strap.
€55,000 3-y-o, Malinas gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including temperamental but useful hurdler/chaser Champagne At Tara and bumper winner All Those Years. Noteworthy newcomer.
£14,000 3-y-o, Fame And Glory gelding. Dam 2m hurdle winner (stayed 2½m). Ignored in the betting and looked green but displayed clear signs of ability when third from the front at Newcastle (AW).

Toutatis (9/4), Fruit N Nut (3/1), Sinister Minister (10/3), Vossi (4/1), Jay Jay Reilly (9/2), Brother Byrne (13/2), Raythehandyman (14/1), Sir Jimmy Allen (18/1), Highland Light (33/1), Dee Eire (40/1), Mister Mcarthur (50/1), Mind How You Go (80/1)
FRUIT N NUT was strong at the finish when making a winning rules debut at Musselburgh in January, and with the runner-up that day successful next time, the form has a solid look to it. He's up to defying a penalty, perhaps at the chief expense of Toutatis, for all that one was suited by an AW bumper given his Flat pedigree. Sinister Minister is a likely type on paper.
- FRUIT N NUT (IRE)
- TOUTATIS (USA)
