Ariel⁴¹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Callum Shepherd| T: C Hills

7/2

Thrice-raced maiden. 16/1, caught eye when eighth of 10 in minor event at Kempton (7f) 41 days ago, not knocked about. May well do better.

As If By Chance¹⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Faye McManoman⁽³⁾| T: N Tinkler| OR: 77

10/3

Fair form when twice runner-up in novices, anything but disgraced dropping back to 6f here on latter occasion. Sure to go well back at 7f now.

Form: 0-22

Bar None

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: J P Sullivan| T: P D Niven

50/1

Nayef gelding. Dam, 7f-1m winner, half-sister to useful 11.5f-16.4f winner Eshtiaal. Makes appeal on paper but yard not noted for its debut winners. Market can guide.

Form:

(1)

Colinton

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Cam Hardie| T: R Menzies

50/1

Red Jazz gelding. Dam of little account. Others appeal more on pedigree and good yard are not renowned for first-time winners.

50/1

£10,000 yearling, £800 2-y-o, Brazen Beau gelding. Dam winner up to 1m. Bred to be no back number but market can prove good indicator for newcomers from this yard.

Forecasts

Ghost Rider (8/13), As If By Chance (10/3), Ariel (7/2), Upalnitetogetlucky (25/1), Colinton (50/1), Bar None (50/1), Peterbuilt (50/1)

GHOST RIDER has to concede weight all round but readily landed the odds at Southwell last month and this progressive son of Dark Angel is fancied to follow up on his tapeta debut. As If By Chance rates much the biggest danger now he reverts to this 7f trip with Ariel appealing as the pick of the remainder on the back of an eye-catching Kempton run.
