10/11

Promising sort who stepped up on debut form when winning 11-runner minor event (16/5) at Newcastle (6f) 44 days ago, sticking to task. Likely to improve further and he's a lead player.

Cahors¹³

Age: 3| Weight: 9-0| J: William Carson| T: A Carson| C

11/2

Won 8-runner maiden at this course (5f, 22/1) 13 days ago, staying on well. Surface clearly no problem and respected with the step up in trip expected to hold no fears.

Form: 31

(3)

Bright Apparition¹⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 8-12| J: C Lee| T: K R Burke

20/1

Twice-raced maiden. 9/2, last of 11 in minor event at Newcastle (7.1f) 16 days ago. Debut fourth at Doncaster back in June was a fair display and too soon to be writing him off.

Form: 4-0

(8)

Johnny Boom¹¹

Age: 3| Weight: 8-12| J: Connor Murtagh⁽³⁾| T: R A Fahey

40/1

Once-raced maiden. Sixth of 8 in minor event at this course (7.1f, 10/1) on debut 11 days ago, always behind and showing only greenness. Looks one for later on.

Form: 6

(1)

Pips Tune²⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 8-12| J: Charlie Bennett| T: D H Brown

50/1

Twice-raced maiden. 33/1, sixth of 9 in minor event at this C&D 20 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Rates the type to make more of an impact in low-grade handicaps.

Form: 0-6

(5)

Rock The Crown

Age: 3| Weight: 8-12| J: Barry McHugh| T: R A Fahey

9/1

€3,200 foal, Hallowed Crown colt. Dam ran 3 times in France. Cheap purchase but represents a good yard and market support would need to be viewed positively.

Form:

(7)

Tashbeeh⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 8-12| J: Tom Marquand| T: M Appleby| OR: 66| BF

9/4

Fair colt. Respectable fourth of 10 in handicap at Lingfield (7f, AW) 7 days ago, not ideally placed. Type his new yard do well with and claims of being in the mix on fibresand debut.

Form: 3830-34

(4)

Money Honey¹³

Age: 3| Weight: 8-7| J: George Rooke⁽⁵⁾| T: Miss Gay Kelleway

80/1

Once-raced maiden. Last of 9 in maiden at this course (7.1f, 50/1) on debut 13 days ago. Passed over on the back of that effort here.

Form: 9

Forecasts

Whittle Le Woods (10/11), Tashbeeh (9/4), Cahors (11/2), Rock The Crown (9/1), Bright Apparition (20/1), Johnny Boom (40/1), Pips Tune (50/1), Money Honey (80/1)

WHITTLE LE WOODS was well backed and confirmed the promise of his debut when edging out an odds-on favourite at Newcastle 44 days ago in a race that has thrown up plenty of winners. That ought not to prove his limit and he gets the vote to defy a penalty and come out on top now tackling fibresand. Tashbeeh and Cahors can do battle for minor honours.
