Low-mileage 8-y-o who is 3-4 over fences following another authoritative display at Hereford (25.2f) last month. This 6 lb higher mark may well be within reach and she has to be feared.

Yet to score over fences but not disgraced all three starts this season, second to Kapga De Lily over C&D and at Hereford the last twice (5 lb pull for latest 3-length defeat). Solid each-way chance.

Ended last term on a downer and has failed to beat a rival home in 2 starts (both over hurdles) for new yard this season. Unseated rider sole previous start in this sphere and she's best watched.

Potentially very well handicapped based on peak form, but plenty to prove here for new yard here following a lengthy absence. Cheekpieces applied.

Little impact in 3 starts over hurdles, but this former point winner was a major eye-catcher when third over an inadequate trip (15.7f) on chase debut at Catterick. Improvement should be forthcoming.

Forecasts

Kapga De Lily (7/4), Annie Day (7/4), Ballybough Nora (11/4), No No Juliet (6/1), Overawed (15/2), Kiwi Myth (10/1), Sparkling River (22/1), Jully Les Buxy (22/1)

Verdict

Having wasted little time over hurdles, ANNIE DAY shaped very well indeed under a considerate ride on her chase debut at Catterick and this former point winner can be expected to improve now faced with a stiffer test. The progressive Kapga de Lily is a much-respected main danger and should again have the measure of Ballybough Nora, a rival she has beaten twice already this season.

  1. ANNIE DAY (IRE)
  2. KAPGA DE LILY (FR)
  3. BALLYBOUGH NORA (IRE)
