Off time: 14:56 | Winning time: 4m 21.54s

Breadcrumbs^t⁷³

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: Sean Quinlan| T: J Candlish

125/1

Modest form in a couple of junior bumpers for Ivan Furtado this autumn so doesn't strike as an obvious one to make a winning start over hurdles for her new stable.

Form: 79

Call Me Sainte^h1⁷⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: David Noonan| T: N J HawkeWS

50/1

Well held in Exeter bumper on debut but the fact she was strong in the betting suggests better was expected. Subsequently had wind surgery. Also sports a hood now hurdling.

Form: 0

Flippance⁴⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: Thomas Bellamy| T: A King

66/1

In good hands but she didn't achieve any better than poor form on the Flat for this yard so perhaps best watched unless the betting suggests better is expected now hurdling.

Form:

Gilbertina⁴³

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: Charlie Hammond⁽³⁾| T: N Kent

9/1

No show in 2 novices on the Flat but did show ability when third in Leicester juvenile on hurdle debut 6 weeks ago.

Form: 3

Hunter's Dawn¹⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: J M Quinlan| T: Miss A Murphy

25/1

Modest in bumpers and also well held in Southwell maiden on Flat debut 18 days ago. Others preferred now hurdling.

Form: 64R

Kimberley¹⁰⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: R T Dunne| T: O Greenall & J Guerriero

25/1

Fair maiden on Flat (stays 1¼m), bought from James Fanshawe for 10,500 gns in October. Hasn't always looked straightforward but new yard in form ahead of this switch to hurdles.

Form:

Licit^h¹³

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: Bryony Le Clerc| T: M Moubarak

10/3

Fair on Flat (stays 1¾m), looked back in form when third on AW recently. Hooded now hurdling. Ought to be up to making presence felt in a race like this now hurdling.

Form:

Progressive⁸¹

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: N de Boinville| T: N J Henderson

5/4

Fairly useful on Flat (stays 1½m) for Roger Varian. Bought for 55,000 gns in October and makes obvious appeal now hurdling for top yard.

Form:

Ronde De Nuit³⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: T J O'Brien| T: P Hobbs & J White

11/4

Fourth sole Flat start in France. 13/2, shaped as if needing run when 15 lengths fifth of 9 on Exeter hurdle debut 37 days ago. Will improve.

Form: 5

Forecasts

Progressive (5/4), Ronde De Nuit (11/4), Licit (10/3), Gilbertina (9/1), Kimberley (25/1), Hunter's Dawn (25/1), Call Me Sainte (50/1), Flippance (66/1), Breadcrumbs (125/1)

PROGRESSIVE attained a decent level on the Flat and is selected to make a winning start over hurdles for new trainer Nicky Henderson. Ronde de Nuit has the potential to leave her hurdle debut behind and could pose a threat, while Licit's Flat ability suggests she is another who could have a say if taking to this new discipline.
