Off time: 14:50 | Winning time: 4m 16.60s

Jersey Grey¹⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 11-4| J: Charlie Deutsch| T: Alexandra Dunn| OR: 106| D

16/1

Only modest on the Flat for Jamie Osborne but struck at the second time of asking over hurdles at Lingfield in October. Out of depth in Grade 2 since and this lot more realistic.

Form: 517

Can't Stop Now^h¹⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: Joshua Moore| T: C Gordon

8/1

Fair maiden on Flat. Showed aptitude for hurdling when 15½ lengths third to Overpriced Mixer at Kempton. Got left at the start at Ludlow since (soon pulled up).

Form: 3P

Grouseman^h¹⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: Kielan Woods| T: Mrs P Sly| OR: 118

9/4

Modest maiden on the Flat but already better over hurdles, building on Warwick fourth when runner-up at Catterick 10 days ago. Likely to be in the mix again.

Form: 42

Jack Ryan⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: David Noonan| T: J Ryan

14/1

Fair 7f Flat winner. Faded into fourth on Musselburgh hurdle debut. Stamina always likely to be an issue for him over hurdles but if he's going to see the trip out anywhere it'll be here.

Form: 4

Nachtstern⁴¹⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: Bryony Le Clerc| T: N B King

20/1

Little form on the Flat in Germany so could only consider if backed now setting out for his new yard.

Form:

Tamaris²⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: J E Moore| T: G & J Moore

11/2

Fairly useful on the Flat for Roger Charlton. Showed an aptitude for hurdling when third in Huntingdon juvenile at the beginning of the month and that Flat ability gives him scope for progress.

Form: 3

The Cincinnati Kid³⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: Tom Cannon| T: A King

7/4

Fairly useful on Flat (stays 1¾m) sold out of Richard Hannon's stable for 55,000 gns in October. Interesting hurdle debutant for a yard which does well in these events.

Form:

Eventful⁹⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 10-5| J: Brendan Powell| T: J & S Best

28/1

Fair maiden on the Flat, claimed out of Mick Quinn's yard after finishing second at Lingfield (9f, good) in August. Hurdle debut.

Form:

Non-Runners

Hacker Des Places³⁶

Weight: 11-4| Age: 3

T: P F Nicholls J: Non Runner

Forecasts

Hacker Des Places (4/5), The Cincinnati Kid (7/4), Grouseman (9/4), Tamaris (11/2), Can't Stop Now (8/1), Jack Ryan (14/1), Jersey Grey (16/1), Nachtstern (20/1), Eventful (28/1)

THE CINCINNATI KID is an interesting recruit to hurdles for a yard that does well in these type of events. Pam Sly's Catterick runner-up Grouseman looks the main threat, ahead of Tamaris, who was also fairly useful on the Flat and shaped quite well on hurdling debut.
