Califet half-brother to fair chaser Statistical (2½m-2¾m winner). Off mark in Irish points at third attempt last time (Jan 26) and the market should prove a useful guide on Rules/hurdling bow.

Well held in bumper/pair of novice hurdles under Rules to date and he can only be watched on that evidence.

Forecasts

Lord Du Mesnil (1/1), Sunset West (7/2), Aloomomo (4/1), Franks Fancy (7/1), Erne River (22/1), Bowderek (28/1), Wheelbahri (300/1)

LORD DU MESNIL made up into a smart handicap chaser last term, winning 3 times before running another fine race in defeat when second in the National Hunt Chase on his final start. He gets the nod to make a winning return over timber. Bowderek and Aloomomo head up the dangers.
