Won a 6-runner staying event at Sedgefield last November but added to patchy record when pulled up next 2 starts. Returns from 8 months off for new trainer but likely to need this outing.
Useful chaser in his pomp but endured a dismal 2019/20 campaign. Stopped the slide when runner-up at Chepstow on return and holds leading claims if building on that from just a 1 lb higher mark.
Consistent for his new yard last term which culminated in winning a 14-runner handicap chase here (29.2f, heavy) when last seen 8 months ago. Up 8 lb and should be on the premises once again.
Failed to win over hurdles for Alan King but gained first Rules success at Huntingdon in December. Relished the testing conditions when winning at Bangor 37 days ago so warrants plenty of respect.

Ended last season out of sorts but has returned in much better form, coming out on top at Uttoxeter in September and following up at Wincanton just over 3 weeks ago. Respected in hat-trick bid.
Irish point winner who proved largely consistent over hurdles, making most of a good opportunity at Wetherby in March. Probably needed run on chasing bow/return at Lingfield and cheekpieces go on.
Modest maiden over hurdles but is built for chasing and duly made an impressive winning debut in this sphere after 11 months off at Uttoxeter in September. Pulled up last time and must bounce back.
Fairly useful winning hurdler/chaser who was out of sorts last season but took a small step back in the right direction when third of 6 at Newton Abbot (25.8f, good to soft) 26 days ago.
Bangor handicap hurdle winner in the mud in 2018. Showed an aptitude for chasing in a one-sided event at Uttoxeter last November and looked booked for second before departing at Ludlow 8 months ago.

Forecasts
Dentley De Mee (7/2), Thomas Shelby (7/2), Accordingtogino (5/1), Peur De Rien (6/1), Antony (13/2), Western Climate (11/1), Follow The Swallow (12/1), Billy Bronco (14/1), The Toojumpa (33/1)
Plenty in with chances here, but preference is for Gary Moore's ANTONY, who returned with an encouraging runner-up effort at Chepstow last month and is potentially thrown-in on his old form if building on that. Thomas Shelby bolted up in testing conditions at Bangor last time so rates as the main danger, ahead of Accordingtogino and the hat-trick-seeking Follow The Swallow.

- THOMAS SHELBY (IRE)
