Matched qualifying form when sixth on handicap debut at Newbury in February. Shaped as if better for the run on return and he ought to plenty to offer on his chasing debut. Tongue tie goes on.

Posted much her best effort yet when going close under more patient tactics in 2½m Uttoxeter novice in August, and she's respected making her chasing/handicap debut.

Won Irish maiden on debut and easily best effort over hurdles when sixth at Chepstow in January. Failed to build on that promise on handicap bow at Warwick in March and now makes chase debut.

Successful return at Chepstow in 2018/19 season and shaped better than distance beaten would suggest on return from a break at Exeter in December. Failed to build on that and now tries chasing.

Has made little impact since landing a Sedgefield maiden hurdle in 2018/19 season. Makes chasing debut after 8 months off but probably best watched.

Encouragement to glean from trio of starts in novice/maiden hurdles but hasn't made any impact in 2 handicaps this term, latest following wind surgery. Plenty more needed on chase debut.

Remains a maiden after 32 runs (15 over fences) but can usually be relied upon to run his race, as he did when third over this C&D last time. Claims once again but strike rate obviously a concern.

Forecasts

Jemima P (3/1), Bolton Boy (4/1), Eau Top (5/1), Scartare (5/1), Tribesmans Glory (8/1), Fair And Dandy (10/1), Get Wishing (11/1), Catlow (18/1), Fair To Dream (33/1), Knocknagoshel (66/1)

Verdict

JEMIMA P gets the vote to make a successful chasing/handicap debut having gone very close when runner-up over timber at Uttoxeter a couple of months ago. The break orior to that clearly did her good, and she looks sure to make her presence felt here. Scartare rates an obvious threat but he may have to settle for another placed effort, while Eau Top is also of interest on his chasing bow.
