Off time: 15:11 | Winning time: 3m 54.72s

Eritage²³⁷

Age: 6| Weight: 11-8| J: Harry Cobden| T: P F Nicholls| OR: 133| DWS

7/4

Bumper winner who scored over hurdles at Taunton (extended 2m) last season. Has had a wind op since last seen and although his mark is probably fair enough he was always a chaser in the making.

Form: 1/F5126-

Golden Taipan^t²¹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-5| J: C Brace⁽³⁾| T: F O'Brien| OR: 130| D

10/1

Scored 3 times in maiden/novice hurdles at around 2m last term. Disappointing back from another wind op on chase bow at Warwick on return 3 weeks ago though. In a handicap now.

Form: 1512P-4

Indietir^t²⁶⁰

Age: 8| Weight: 11-4| J: Jack Tudor⁽⁵⁾| T: Christian Williams| OR: 129

40/1

Useful hurdler at his peak in France and was entitled to need his first run in over 2 years on chasing/stable debut in C&D beginners' event in February. Absent another 260 days ahead of this.

Form: 29013/4-

Monsieur D'Arque^t²⁴

Age: 6| Weight: 11-2| J: Conor Shoemark| T: D Skelton| OR: 127| CD

9/2

On the right track in his second season over fences, winning at Market Rasen (17.2f) in July and running crackers in handicaps the last twice (winner last time looks promising). Leading claims.

Form: 4P-1422

Onthefrontfoot^h³⁵³

Age: 6| Weight: 10-12| J: Henry Brooke| T: D McCain Jnr| OR: 123| D

12/1

Added a couple of victories over hurdles (at 2m/17f) to his point/bumper wins last season and no reason why he won't do just as good over fences, though his mark doesn't look too generous on return.

Form: 19/1134-

Goa Lil^h¹³

Age: 4| Weight: 10-9| J: D A Jacob| T: N & W Twiston-Davies| OR: 129| D

2/1

Hurdles winner over 2m at Kempton at the start of 2020 and returned with a fine front-running third in the 4-Y-O Handicap at Chepstow a fortnight ago. Very interesting with the allowance now chasing.

Form: U4140-3

Tricky Customer^t⁴³

Age: 6| Weight: 10-3| J: Benjamin Poste| T: Katy Price| OR: 109

12/1

Returned from 5 months off/wind surgery to make a winning chase/handicap debut at Market Rasen (17.2f) in July. Not so good away from there at Uttoxeter (20f) latest and has his work cut out here.

Form: P24-135

Eritage (7/4), Goa Lil (2/1), Monsieur D'Arque (9/2), Golden Taipan (10/1), Onthefrontfoot (12/1), Tricky Customer (12/1), Indietir (40/1)

MONSIEUR D'ARQUE probably ran into a good one at Newton Abbot and is really motoring over fences now. He could put his handicapping experience to good use and take care of some promising recruits to chasing in Goa Lil, who made a fine return at Chepstow and gets the 4-y-o allowance, and Eritage, from the red-hot Nicholls' yard.
