Last 3 wins have come on AW though has gone well on soft in the past and possible this first stab at 2m could bring about a bit more improvement. Wouldn't dismiss.
Juvenile hurdle winner for new yard last December and probably needed the run back on the level at Wolverhampton last month. Proven in the mud and could take a hand.
Thriving all of a sudden and followed up his Nottingham success with smooth win in extended 2m Newcastle handicap. More needed still under penalty but has gone well in the mud and could be involved.
Back in good form over fences, winning at Cartmel in August, and lurks on a good mark on the level. Will relish conditions and this strong stayer is high on the shortlist.
Promise in his 2 races, his latest Lingfield third reading really well. Upped markedly in trip for this handicap debut and has more to offer. Big player if handling conditions.
Yet to win but bounced back to his best upped to 18f when second in the Pontefract mud last week, finding only a thriving rival too good. Up in class off the same mark but got to be respected.
Modest maiden who pulled too hard upped to this trip at Nottingham when behind Trumpet Man last time. Vulnerable in this company.

Forecasts
Trumpet Man (11/4), Tidal Point (3/1), Red Derek (4/1), Captain Haddock (9/2), Alfredo (8/1), Sashenka (10/1), Lord Lamington (12/1), River Icon (14/1), Para Queen (25/1)
CAPTAIN HADDOCK's latest Lingfield third is cracking form and there is a good chance he has more to offer after just 2 runs now switched to staying handicaps. He gets the vote in the hope he handles conditions. River Icon won't have any problems on that score and is a big player having been running well over fences. Tidal Point ran well at Pontefract and completes the shortlist.
- CAPTAIN HADDOCK (IRE)
- RIVER ICON
- TIDAL POINT (IRE)
