Better than ever on Flat this year and has continued the good work back in this sphere, recently landing a brace of 16.8f Sedgefield handicaps in good style. Will prove hard to beat under a penalty.
Bumper winner who hit the crossbar on first run following wind surgery at Kelso in January. However, not in the same form since, primarily over fences but also back in this sphere on return at Perth.
Didn't go on from promising start in bumpers for Gordon Elliott and hasn't troubled the judge in trio of starts over hurdles for new yard. Still, he could be seen a better light now handicapping.
Placed all 3 starts on the Flat in France and made it third time lucky over hurdles on handicap debut at Doncaster (16.6f) in January. Looked rusty on Perth reappearance and better expected here.
Improved effort on handicap debut in this sphere when third at Ludlow in February. Again third on return at Stratford (16.3f, heavy), which was a respectable effort, and makes some each-way appeal.
Scored off similar mark over fences last summer but it's been a struggle since, including in first-time cheekpieces (retained here) at Southwell latest. Tongue strap also added back in this sphere.
Opened his account in a novices' handicap at Sedgefield last December. Disappointing when tried in a tongue strap (omitted here) there on final start of last season and needs to get back on track.
In good form on the Flat this year, striking twice in July. Sole success in that sphere was almost 2 years ago but she's on a potentially handy mark and is worthy of consideration.
Opened hurdles account over C&D in February and has added to that at Perth and Kelso in recent months. Creditable third at Hexham recently and should again be on the premises.
Two of his three victories in 2017 came over this C&D but wellbeing needs taking on trust following a 22-month absence.
Poor record between the flags (0-6, failing to complete on 4 occasions) and just glimmers of ability on trio of novice hurdles. Significant step forward needed on this handicap debut.
Winless following 23 attempts on the Flat in Ireland and was pulled up on latest start in this sphere at Cork in July. Probably best watched on debut for new yard.

Forecasts
The Navigator (8/11), Sarasota Star (11/2), Calliope (7/1), Special Brute (14/1), Barrys Jack (20/1), Wakool (22/1), Don't Need To Know (22/1), Nefyn Point (22/1), Bestiarius (22/1), Travel Lightly (22/1), Ringo Kid (50/1), Bagan (80/1)
It's hard to look beyond THE NAVIGATOR, who has landed back-to-back Sedgefield handicaps in recent weeks and is probably still a sizeable step ahead of the assessor under a penalty here. Travel Lightly, a dual winner on the Flat this summer, gets the nod for forecast purposes ahead of Sarasota Star and Wakool.
