Fair Flat winner who ran with credit on his first 2 starts this summer. Turned in a lacklustre effort at Warwick last time but may bounce back with a return to further likely to suit.

Successful twice in this sphere for Ben Case during 2018/19 campaign. Has yet to fire for current yard but handicapper continues to relent and first-time visor may have a positive effect.

Good while since he's tasted success but was runner-up twice here last autumn and was undone by a serious error just as he was getting into contention over C&D on final outing. Needs considering.

Has essentially been disappointing over hurdles, but showed first form when sixth of 11 in a Newton Abbot novice (18.5f) on return 35 days ago. His task is to now build on that switching to handicaps.

Dual winner last summer but below par since and may just need this first start for 7 months.

Won back-to-back Flat handicaps at Bath in good style in July and shaped well on Southwell handicap hurdle debut in August. Not seen to best effect at Plumpton since so well worth another chance.

Ran out a comfortable winner on Uttoxeter handicap debut in July. Shaped better than the distance beaten suggests there next time but a shade disappointing at Newton Abbot since.

Ran one of her better races from a career-low mark when third at Taunton last October, but wasn't in the same form at Taunton the following month and off since.

Much improved first 2 starts this year, powering away to score at Market Rasen in July. Not in same form at Cartmel and ran even worse at Southwell last time. Others preferred.

Irish point winner. Little show in bumper/over hurdles but is very much bred to be suited by this sort of trip and is open to improvement on handicap debut in first-time cheekpieces. Interesting.

Long-standing maiden but suggested this mark isn't beyond when third at Huntingdon on recent stable debut and should benefit from a return to this trip.

Second in a Southwell claimer on reappearance and did enough to suggest he remains in form at Huntingdon since, but he's an unreliable 12-y-o so others appeal more for win purposes.

Verdict

HIDDEN DEPTHS, an improver on the Flat this year, remains an interesting handicap hurdler having not been seen to anything like best effect at Plumpton last month. Collingwood Court appeals as the type to do better now venturing into handicaps over this sort of trip, while fellow handicap debutant Oscars Moonshine could also have a say for his in-form yard if building on his Newton Abbot run.

  1. HIDDEN DEPTHS (IRE)
  2. COLLINGWOOD COURT (IRE)
  3. OSCARS MOONSHINE (IRE)
