Runner-up in a bumper here and promising fourth on Carlisle hurdles bow in 2019. However, looked amiss at Wetherby when last seen 10 months ago and likely to need the run. Has undergone wind surgery.

Placed both starts in Irish points and improved on hurdles debut form when 5¼ lengths third of 8 in novice at Wetherby (19.7f) in March. Place possibilities if able to build on that.

Has taken sizeable steps forward on each of his 3 starts over hurdles, second to the useful Night Edition in a 16-runner Ludlow maiden (15.8f, heavy) when last seen in February. Big player.

Rather hit-and-miss in points (0-6 in that sphere) and beaten a long way on recent Rules debut in Sedgefield novice hurdle. Tongue strap applied.

Point winner who left previous form in this sphere well behind when runner-up in 16.2f novice here 8 days ago. Going back up in trip should help and he's not without each-way hope.

Irish point winner who has showed ability both starts under Rules, beaten just over a length when fourth of 10 on recent hurdles debut at Warwick (21f, good). Remains open to improvement.

€11,000 3-y-o, Vinnie Roe gelding. Dam unraced. Record between the flags is uninspiring and best watched on Rules debut. Sports a tongue strap.

Very little impact in trio of bumpers for Thomas Costello in Ireland, and he's readily passed over on hurdles debut for new yard.

Runner-up sole start in Irish points but hasn't shown enough in a couple of spins over hurdles to make her of interest here.

Related to plenty of winners and placed on 2 of her 3 starts in bumpers, third at Market Rasen (16.6f, soft) on final run of last season. Each-way chance if jumping passes the test on hurdles debut.

Poor maiden on the Flat for Alan Brown. Runner-up in a maiden point earlier this year but makes limited appeal now switched to hurdles.

Scene Not Herd (2/1), Forever Des Long (11/5), Black Ebony (4/1), Shiroccsmyworld (8/1), Pass Rusher (17/2), Devour (25/1), Fame And Hope (28/1), Thomas Labeille (40/1), Luca Brasi's Boy (80/1), The Silver Prince (125/1), Silken Moonlight (150/1)

Verdict

FOREVER DES LONG sets a good standard judged on his latest effort at Ludlow and there could be more to come from this 5-y-o now faced with a stiffer test. Scene Not Herd, who shaped well on his recent hurdles debut, is the clear main danger. Shiroccsmyworld showed ability in bumpers and, along with Devour and Pass Rusher, she is in with an each-way shout.

  1. FOREVER DES LONG (FR)
  2. SCENE NOT HERD (IRE)
  3. SHIROCCSMYWORLD (IRE)
