Doncaster novice winner who shaped as if still in good form when 3½ lengths fifth of 11 in 5f Ayr listed race 3 weeks ago, doing too much too soon. This a more suitable grade.
Improved again to get off the mark under a well-judged ride at Ripon (6f, soft) 13 days ago. Things panned out well for him on that occasion but he's joined another good yard ahead of handicap debut.
Stylish scorer at Beverley in August and returned something like that form when a close-up third in a 5f Redcar novice last month. Opening mark looks a fair one and he should remain competitive.
Cheap buy as a yearling but progressed from debut to make his second start a winning one in 6f Ascot novice last month, well positioned and keeping on well. Nursery debut.
Made it third time lucky in 9-runner Bath novice (5f) in August. Wasn't quite in the same form switched to a nursery at Chester but his mark looks workable judged on his timefigure of 84 at Bath.
Has shown only fair form when third in a brace of 6f novice events, though was still rough around the edges last time, and remains with potential now pitched into a nursery for his top yard.
Progressive performer, winning 11-runner nursery at Lingfield (5f, 10/1) 37 days ago. Cost a bit from a good sprinting family and good chance he'll do even better. Leading claims up 6 lb.
Fair efforts all three starts thus far, latest when a close third in 5f Beverley maiden 13 days ago, running on late. That form is nothing special, though, so more likely needed on nursery bow.
Improved from debut when third of 7 in 6f Redcar novice in June. Wasn't disgraced on Doncaster nursery debut 11 weeks later, possibly just needing the run, and may yet do better.
Thrice-raced maiden who seemed to excel himself up in grade in 4-runner event at Salisbury (6f, soft) last week, though was probably flattered by his proximity. Makes handicap debut.

Forecasts
Bedford Flyer (7/2), Dark Illusion (9/2), Hey Mr (11/2), Billian (11/2), Rebel At Dawn (7/1), Prince Of Abington (10/1), Signora Princess (10/1), Yorkshire Pirlo (14/1), Rivers Lad (16/1), Imperium Blue (25/1)
BEDFORD FLYER's Lingfield win is backed up by the clock (timefigure of 82), so a 6 lb rise seems unlikely to prevent another bold bid from Les Eyre's speedy 2-y-o. Hey Mr remains with potential making a quick switch to nurseries for his top yard, while Billian and Dark Illusion are others to consider.
