Trajano gelding. Dam lightly raced on Flat/ran once over hurdles. In good hands and no surprise to see a bold display first time up.

Modest form at best on Flat over 7f. Has left Roger Fell and a tongue tie goes on for this hurdles bow. Plenty to find.

From the family of useful hurdler (2¼m winner) Rock The Race. Just a modest maiden on the Flat (stays 1¼m), below form of late.

Fair 10f maiden on the Flat in Ireland but not really shone over hurdles so far, well held (reportedly lost a shoe) at Southwell last time. Tongue tie reached for.

Half-brother to 5 winners on Flat, including smart 7f/1m winner Nabucco. Unraced on the level and a tongue tie is fitted (has also had a wind op).

Showed promise when third in 2m juvenile hurdle at Roscommon 2 months ago for William McCreery (decent form). Failed to land the odds at Fontwell but probably too soon to write him off.

Fair maiden on Flat (best efforts at 1½m). Interesting for yard that has already had 2 juvenile winners this season.

In winning form over middle-distances on the Flat this summer. Laboured display (lost a shoe) on hurdles debut at Southwell last month and no surprise to see the blinkers (worn on the level) back on.

Forecasts

Orchestral Rain (11/8), Thunder King (7/2), Derek Le Grand (11/2), Bam Bam (7/1), Fraterculus (15/2), Theocrat (14/1), Nuriel (40/1), Cold War Steve (80/1), Current (125/1)

Verdict

BAM BAM doesn't looked over-faced for his hurdles debut and is worth chancing before market clues. Orchestral Rain disappointed for his new yard at Fontwell but his Irish form reads well and he could be worth sticking with. Theocrat, from a stable that has had a couple of winners in these events already this season, is also worth a look.

  1. BAM BAM (FR)
  2. ORCHESTRAL RAIN (IRE)
  3. THEOCRAT (IRE)
