3/1

Dual chase winner in Ireland for Joseph O'Brien and shaped well starting out for new yard when third at Huntingdon a year ago. Struggled since, albeit August's return here was a bit more like it.

17/2

Modest Flat maiden who left exploits in a trio of juvenile hurdles behind when runner-up on handicap debut here in December. Well held all 3 starts since, 2 of which on the level.

Form: 8642P-

Hier Encore²⁰²

Age: 8| Weight: 11-11| J: Luca Morgan⁽⁷⁾| T: N Dunger| OR: 99| CD

4/1

Regular at this track, winning twice over C&D in 2018/19. Wasn't in top form when last seen but he has gone well fresh in the past and is just 2 above last successful mark.

Form: 236764-

Furia D'Oudairies²⁵³

Age: 5| Weight: 11-6| J: Joshua Moore| T: G & J Moore| OR: 94

9/2

Promise in a couple of juvenile hurdles in 2018/19 but failed to fully convince completed starts in handicaps last term. It's still early days and she's in good hands.

Form: 542/F65-

En Coeur²⁰²

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: Daniel Sansom⁽³⁾| T: J W Mullins| OR: 88

7/1

Took a step back in the right direction after 3 months off and wind op when fourth at Wincanton in March. Built on that to an extent when fourth over C&D soon after and he retains potential.

Form: 544P44-

Bonjour⁵⁸

Age: 8| Weight: 10-5| J: Lucy Gardner| T: Mrs S Gardner| OR: 79

20/1

Modest maiden on balance on the Flat aboard and hard to get excited by what he's achieved in his qualifying runs. Handicap debut.

Form: P06

Spirit Of Rome^p,t⁵⁵

Age: 6| Weight: 10-0| J: Ben Godfrey⁽⁷⁾| T: Kieran Burke| OR: 73

4/1

Poor maiden hurdler nowadays who makes little appeal.

Forecasts

Commandant (3/1), Magic Shuffle (7/2), Spirit Of Rome (4/1), Hier Encore (4/1), Furia D'Oudairies (9/2), Volturnus (9/2), Sweeping Rock (5/1), En Coeur (7/1), Moonlit Sea (17/2), Bonjour (20/1)

An unconvincing bunch, but VOLTURNUS and Magic Shuffle possess the scope to do better over hurdles now handicapping based on their Flat form, with the former receiving the vote. Hier Encore is a course regular and is capable of making his presence felt on reappearance.
