C&D winner. 12/1, proved to be a disappointment when last of 9 in handicap at Ascot (12f, good) 26 days ago, weakening over 1f out. Has good chance on form.
Back-to-back winner of handicaps at up to 12f for Ian Williams last year. He's yet to see a race out convincingly this year, but his last run is easily excused and he's back on his last winning mark.
Winner at Newcastle in July. 11/4, shaped well when third of 11 in handicap at Chelmsford City (10f) 39 days ago, no extra only late on. He's one to keep an eye on here.
Course winner here in September. 3/1, ran creditably after just 7 days off when third of 8 in handicap at Newcastle (12.4f) 22 days ago, having run of race. Looks sure to go well again.
C&D winner. Respectable 5Âľ lengths seventh of 13 to Iffraaz in handicap at this course (12f, 33/1) 29 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Visor back on. Others preferred for win purposes.
C&D winner. Produced a rare below-par effort when eighth of 15 in handicap at Lingfield (12f, AW, 4/1), albeit not ideally placed. Off 9 months. Needs a couple of these to falter.
Never a threat when 8ÂĽ lengths fifth of 7 to City Tour in handicap (33/1) at this C&D, again not ideally placed. Off 8 months and he's not the easiest to assess at present.
Got back on track ridden with a bit more restraint when second of 8 in handicap at Chester (10.3f, good to soft, 12/1) 19 days ago. Can give another good account for red-hot yard.

Forecasts
Emirates Knight (11/4), Master The Stars (11/4), Summit Reach (3/1), Iffraaz (5/1), Mandarin (9/1), Sir Prize (16/1), City Tour (22/1), Thematic (100/1)
A tightly-knit handicap in which cases can be made for a few of these. MASTER OF THE STARS gets the nod to come out on top having shaped well in third at Chelmsford last month. Emirates Knight is feared most if he can put a disappointing effort at Ascot behind him, while Ralph Beckett's runners are firing on all cylinders at present and his Summit Reach must be respected.

- EMIRATES KNIGHT (IRE)
