Hampton Fillies' Handicap
Class 4 | 1m | Good (good to firm in places) | 9 Runners | Turf
Off time: 16:30 | Winning time: 1m 42.88s
Has done the bulk of her racing in Dubai and didn't look ahead of this sort of mark earlier in the season. Needs to prove herself on turf back from 6 months off.
Progressive in the main but the handicapper looked to have caught up when she was only fourth at Newcastle in February and down the field at this course returning 40 days ago. Others more appealing.
Course winner who has looked averagely treated since scoring at Kempton in the summer and arrives on back of a below-form fifth over 7f here 16 days ago.
Excellent fourth in Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot as juvenile but hasn't matched that form since, last at Newmarket 32 days ago. Cheekpieces go back on.
Marked improvement on first run since leaving Michael Bell, readily winning 7-runner handicap at Chepstow before an encouraging third faced with quick turnaround at Newmarket. Leading claims.
Lightly raced 3yo whose third at Kempton 29 days has been boosted by both the winner and runner-up subsequently, so might have been let in lightly from a mark of 77. One for the shortlist.
Good efforts on 2 of her last 3 outings, fourth of 14 at this course (10f) 5 days ago. Below last winning mark and blinkers go back on, so not without a chance.
Resumed with stylish 7f win at Newmarket in June but reassessed mark leaves her with something to find and she wasn't in the same form at Chepstow next time.
Below last winning mark and, while he's not been in top form so far this term, shaped a bit better than the result (did too much early) when fifth at Newmarket 19 days ago. Could bounce back.
Sparkling Olly (11/4), Long Haired Lover (3/1), Delicate Kiss (7/2), Aroha (5/1), Starry Eyes (11/2), High Flying Bird (12/1), Crystal Casque (12/1), Gert Lush (22/1), Alabama Whitman (40/1), Kwela (40/1)
Following a successful start for her new stable at Chepstow, SPARKLING OLLY may have found the race coming too soon when only third at Newmarket a week later so, having been granted more of a break, she's taken to resume winning ways. Long Haired Lover's latest effort is proving strong form, so she's feared most ahead of Delicate Kiss.
