Son of Dubawi who looked a useful prospect when easy winner of 1m Kempton maiden on reappearance. Just mid-field in the Britannia but emphatically back on track at Haydock. 10 lb rise is fair.
Won a brace of novice events on the AW first 2 starts and better form when runner-up twice in handicaps switched to turf in July. Raced closer to strong pace than was ideal at Haydock, Headgear on.
Further progress when completing the hat-trick in decisive fashion at York in July 2019. Ended campaign with a heavy defeat in the Cambridgeshire and off the track since. Hood applied.
Confirmed debut promise when getting on top close home in a Newbury novice (7f) a year ago. Took a while to get him back on the track but she shaped very well when second on last month's C&D return.
Major improvement in August, winning 1m handicaps at Windsor and Sandown in good style. However, was found out in a better race at York 3 weeks ago.
Twice a winner as a 3-y-o, showing useful form over C&D for the second of them. Yet to find his feet in 2020.
Built on his 3 promising 2-y-o runs when landing a Chepstow maiden on return from 8 months off following a gelding operation. Narrowly denied in a 7f course handicap but bombed out at Ascot.
Quiet start to 2020, but more like it when third at Bath and he duly built on that when winning 11-runner handicap over C&D a fortnight ago. 5 lb penalty to carry in this much better race.
Forecasts
Dubai Mirage (15/8), Raaeq (5/2), Yes My Boy (5/1), Campari (17/2), Mon Choix (11/1), Chance (16/1), Rectory Road (18/1), Siglo Six (33/1)
RAAEQ beat a very useful opponent in a Newbury novice on second start last autumn and his reappearance was full of promise, sticking at it despite being free early over this C&D. There's surely more to come from him and he is preferred in favour of Dubai Mirage and Yes My Boy.
