C&D winner who ran a blinder after 14 months off when fourth at Newcastle but he has twice failed to back that up, beating only one in 6f listed race at Newmarket last time. Blinkers on with it to do.
Resumed with 6f win in Silver Wokingham at Royal Ascot and not disgraced both runs since, fourth of 19 in 7f handicap at Ascot latest one. Needs bit more off same mark here.
Improved in first-time cheekpieces to land 6f handicap at Leicester but well below that level when only fourth of 6 to Musicality in similar event at Newmarket 14 days ago. Bit to prove now.
Progressive colt who (13/2) made it 2-4 when landing 6f handicap at Newmarket 14 days ago, coming through strongly late. Should progress again given this stiffer test of stamina so well in the mix.
Made winning start for new yard at Wolverhampton and improved again when second of 10 in handicap at Haydock (7f, soft) 7 days ago, collared late having travelled strongly. Player off same mark.
Returned with 7f novice win at Sandown in June and (40/1) not disgraced despite beating only one in 8-runner handicap at Goodwood (7f) last time. More to do here though off stiff mark.
Very lightly-raced 5-y-o who returned after 13 months off/wind op with excellent second of 11 in 7f handicap here, faring best of those held up. Remains with potential so very much on the shortlist.
Sixteen runs since his last win in 2018 but has been knocking on the door of late, second of 7 in 6f handicap at Haydock 7 days ago. Respected off unchanged mark.
Made it 2-3 this season for new yard (refitted cheekpieces) in 6f handicap at Hamilton, well on top finish. C&D winner too so firmly in contention despite 7 lb rise.
It's now fifteen runs since his last win in 2018 but (14/1) he recorded good third of 15 in 6f handicap at Ripon 10 days ago, running on. This demands more though.
Completed impressive 6f hat-trick in summer and back from 8-week break with excellent second of 11 in handicap at Ascot 7 days ago, clear of rest. Has more to offer so interesting off unchanged mark.
Forecasts
Ghalyoon (3/1), Tranchee (7/2), Sunset Breeze (5/1), Musicality (13/2), Chiefofchiefs (9/1), Edgewood (12/1), Danzan (16/1), Byline (22/1), Shabaaby (25/1), Manigordo (33/1), Broken Spear (33/1)
A cracking sprint but SUNSET BREEZE returned after a break with an excellent second at Ascot last week so looks the one to be on as he's able to race off the same mark. Newmarket-scorer Musicality and the lightly-raced Ghalyoon are sure to provide a stern test for Sir Mark Prescott's progressive 3-y-o, while Edgewood and Tranchee are also much respected in an intriguing contest.
