Fairly useful form, but she remains a maiden following 17 attempts and will probably find one or two too good once more.

Landed this race under William Easterby off 1 lb lower mark 12 months ago. Added to his tally at Catterick on penultimate start and shouldn't be far away.

Hasn't got his head in front for the best part of 2 years and while he performed with credit on latest start in this sphere at Newcastle in June, others make more appeal.

Back to form when scoring at Chepstow and Lingfield within space of 3 days in June. However, came up short under a double penalty last time and effectively 3 lb higher now.

Several creditable efforts in defeat since Newcastle victory last spring, including when sixth at Wolverhampton (9.5f) last time. Now tried in a visor and drop back in trip looks a good move.

Won 6f Windsor claimer last autumn for Paul Cole. Has put in good shifts on 2 of his 3 starts for new connections, but this demands a clear career-best.

Rather hit-and-miss since he last got his head in front at Kempton 10 months ago, and will need plenty of luck from stall 13.

Just the one win to his name from 23 starts and needs to bounce back following a tame effort at Newbury last month.

Forecasts

Wightman (5/2), Pacino (5/1), Model Guest (5/1), Voltaic (15/2), Penwortham (15/2), Algaffaal (8/1), Parys Mountain (17/2), Moxy Mares (14/1), Stringybark Creek (20/1), Fieldsman (22/1), Bertog (22/1), Precision Storm (33/1), Motashakel (80/1), Two Blondes (80/1)

Verdict

This drop back in trip will suit PACINO, who performed with credit despite running out of petrol when tried over 10.3f here last time. He remains on an attractive mark and will be the most likely winner unless recent Salisbury scorer Wightman can bounce back from a lesser effort at Haydock on Thursday. Algaffaal and last year's winner Parys Mountain both make each-way appeal.

  1. PACINO
  2. ALGAFFAAL (USA)
  3. PARYS MOUNTAIN (IRE)
