Overcame a mid-race blunder when adding to tally on reappearance at Uttoxeter in July. Creditable third of 7 at Southwell since. Should give another good account with Bryan Carver taking 5 lb off.
Has won a weak Southwell novice hurdle and a couple of AW bumpers. Respectable third on course chase debut/reappearance but disappointed at Bangor since. Hood and tongue tie both refitted.
C&D winner. Twelve runs since last win in 2018 but he can have a line put through his well-held fourth on 22.5f course reappearance, badly hampered 4 out. Significantly back down in trip.
Couple of respectable efforts over hurdles this term but it's 17 runs since his last win in 2017. This by far the lowest mark he's ever run off over fences but others still more convincing.
Chase debut winner a year ago and backed it up in handicaps subsequently. Not beaten far when fourth of 5 on Market Rasen reappearance and may strip fitter for run. Considered.
Has returned in very good form, winning pair of Market Rasen handicaps in recent months. 5 lb rise unlikely to prevent another prominent showing.
Dual C&D winner last season, including this race. Good efforts since resumption, bumping into a handicap blot in Ashutor (winner since) over C&D 17 days ago. Should go well again.
Back to best when landing 20.5f Southwell handicap hurdle on reappearance 26 days ago. Equally as good over fences so likely to remain competitive off 5 lb higher.
Runner-up twice over fences last summer and arrives on back of respectable fourth in Uttoxeter handicap (2m), faring best of those held up. Another who has to enter the reckoning.
Took advantage of drop in the weights to resume winning ways in a weak race over fences Worcester last September. Failed to repeat that subsequently. including both starts this term.
Four low-key runs over hurdles for this yard last term and pulled up on Market Rasen chase debut/reappearance. Hard to make a case for.
Forecasts
Tikkinthebox (5/1), Atlantic Storm (5/1), Raven's Tower (6/1), Double Court (6/1), Lantiern (13/2), Admiral's Sunset (8/1), Carolines Charm (10/1), Little Stevie (10/1), Cut The Corner (14/1), Royal Plaza (33/1), Painted Cliffs (80/1)
In a very open affair Bryan Carver's 5 lb claim is taken to tip things in the favour of TIKKINTHEBOX. Last year's winner Atlantic Storm has returned in good form and should make a bold bid to defend his crown. The thriving Little Stevie is another who is likely to make his presence felt.
